Movie(s)? [Jun. 2nd, 2008|05:22 pm]
The World of Tencendor
[mood |boredbored]
[music |Coldplay - Viva la Vida]

On the Sara Douglass facebook group, someone made a post a while back asking if people thought movies should be made. I have a mixed feeling about it myself. Of course I would want there to be a movie, it would help the books' publicity... maybe. If the movies were good, it would. I could sort of picture the books better as a TV series than just a movie (or two, or three) unless there were two different trilogies, just as the books. Anyway, since I've been bored all day, I amused myself with potential actors for the characters~

Axis - Heath Ledger could have made a good Axis, I think... =| R.I.P. I don't know, Brad Pitt? David Wenham?

Faraday - Jennifer Connelly, Liv Tyler

Azhure - Angelina Jolie, Kiera Knightly

Stardrifter - ?

Rivkah - Michelle Pfeiffer

Magariz - ?

Evensong - Jessica Biel

Zenith - Katie Holmes, Scarlett Johannson

Wolfstar - ?

StarLaughter - Nicole Kidman

Isfrael - Cillian Murphy

Caelum - Christian Bale, Justin Bruening

Drago - Jude Law

Riverstar - Kate Hudson, Kate Moss

Embeth - Bridget Fonda

Urbeth - Cate Blanchett

Urbeth's Daughters - Milla Jovovich

Timozel - Jonathon Rhys Meyers, Jonathon Chase

Borneheld - Ralph Fiennes

Gorgrael - ?

Artor - Paul Bettany

Kanubai - ?

Inardle - Leelee Sobieski

Isaiah - Gael García Bernal

Ishbel - Naomi Watts

Maxel - Clive Owen, Hugh Jackman

Ravenna - Rose McGowan

Salome - Catherine Zeta-Jones

As you can see, some I couldn't think of... but it was entertaining while it lasted. :P What would be your suggestions?

Also, I'm up to chapter seventeen in The Twisted Citadel. I don't trust the Lealfast. =\

I always thought that Azure was very exotic... I had a feeling if they made a movie the part should be played by someone with a Native American background... or something similar.
This will sound silly but for some reason I see John Slattery as Stardrifter... no idea why.
I thought Faraday had chestnut hair?

Oh, I could see John Slattery as Stardrifter, yeah...

She does, but I just think Jennifer Connelly and Liv Tyler both have the same gentle beauty to them as I picture Faraday having.

As for Azhure, I see your point. I was just thinking of actresses who have played strong female characters previously.

Yeah I can see that :)
I always thought that if they made the books into films then they would have open casting *shrugs*

Angie all the way

When I heard of Azhure's sensuality and full body and just the look of her black hair blue eyes I thought ANGIE yup yup I pictured Faraday by like the cover so I don't know maybe Rachel Mcadams or Rachel Weisz although Connelly is a ringer as well

Your Faradays are spot-on, looks-wise anyway. Isfrael, too. I think Jude Law looks slightly too young for Drago, though. I always picture Drago as looking basically middle-aged, since he's meant to be about 40 when the books take place, and since his Icarii heritage has been taken away, he would age at a human pace.

I always pictured Azhure as looking slightly Asian, I'm not sure why.

I guess. I think Jude Law could pass for a Drago if they really bearded him up and whatnot~ But remember, his power as the true StarSon changed him a little, didn't it?

Mm, I could picture that. Does anyone remember what color eyes she's supposed to have? Blue?

With her name, blue eyes are logical, but I can't really remember.

They were blue.

On topic: Paul Bettany as Artor? Artor was large and boorish(for lack of a better word) looking. Paul Bettany is was too pale and scrawny. XD

I absolutely agree with your Zenith and Maxel though. :D
